Lone Elk Park is just down the road from where I live. Yes, a little bit of wilderness in the big city of St. Louis - well, I actually live in the county, but still it's quite a different feel just a few miles down the road from where I live.

My cousin was in town this week and him and Jake came over yesterday as my grams showed up. So, we drove down in Jake's Jeep to check out the Elk. They were pretty close to the Jeep and without the doors or top on it can be a little nerve racking. Though they didn't bother us. It was mating season so that was more so what we worried about. The signs say to stay back 100 feet, I think they were more like 10 feet from us.

Now, I we are preparing to head to pumpkin patch today.

Oh, and I managed to lose over 4 pounds this week just by writing my stuff down, following my plan and exercising. Geez - how hard was that? And, so many people are always looking for a quick pill to help them lose weight. I like this better because I got to eat Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Starbucks well, you get the picture. I have no lost 41 pounds. Proud much? Yep!
